Pet Meets Owner (“we”) makes digital portraits from the photos you upload. This page explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. The short version: your photos are used only to make your portrait and are deleted after 30 days.
What we collect
- Your photos. The photos of you, your family, and your pet that you upload.
- Your email address. To send your previews, receipt, download links and order updates.
- Gift details. If you send a gift: the recipient's name, the optional recipient email, and your note.
- Payment details. Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Usage data. Basic analytics (pages viewed, steps completed) and, if you arrived from an ad, advertising cookies from Meta, so we can measure which ads work.
How we use your photos
Your photos are sent to our image-generation providers (OpenAI first, Google Gemini if OpenAI is unavailable) only to create your portrait. We do not use your photos to train AI models, sell them, or show them publicly. Only you, and anyone you share your private links with, can see your portraits.
How long we keep things
- Uploaded photos: automatically deleted 30 days after your order.
- Unpaid previews: deleted after 30 days.
- Finished portraits: kept so your download and gift links keep working. Ask us any time and we'll delete them.
Who we share data with
Only the services that run the store: Stripe (payments), Supabase (secure storage), OpenAI and Google (portrait creation and photo checks), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting), PostHog (analytics) and Meta (ad measurement). Each only receives what it needs to do its job.
Children
Only upload photos you have permission to use. A parent or guardian must consent to photos of children. Our service is not directed at children under 13.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, or to stop marketing emails, by writing to hello@petmeetsowner.com. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you may have additional rights, which we will honor.
